Hypocrisy taints censure of Microsoft

Kelly McNeill writes “In response to a recent essay by Scott Culp, manager of the Microsoft Security Response Center, about his request that people stop publishing information on computer security vulnerabilities, open-source advocate Eric S. Raymond suggested that if Microsoft can’t stand the heat Mr. Raymond’s article goes down the fashionable path of bashing Microsoft with little real basis in fact or thought. If you ask me, Mr. Raymond is a hypocrite.”
