In the shadow of The SCO Group's copyright infringement allegations, IBM Corp. continues to develop and market solutions for
Linux-based systems. Late last month, the company released WebSphere Everyplace Multimodal Environment for Embedix, a version of its Eclipse-based IDE
that developers can use to target Sharp's Linux-based Zaurus 5600 handheld computer with applications that can be driven visually, by voice or by a
combination of the two.
