IBM is upping the incentives to partners who sell Linux solutions. Last month, the company rolled out a program dubbed “Double Your Discount with
Linux” as part of its Value Advantage Plus Initiative for ISVs and VARs. Participants in the program are now eligible for up to a 60 percent discount
on IBM software (double the existing resales incentive) when they use that software to create Linux-based solutions for midsize companies. The program
also gives ISVs, partners and integrators funding, tools, and Linux sales and marketing collateral to get them up and running on the open-source
solutions, according to IBM.
