Wellington film production house Weta Digital has bought a 588 server BladeCenter running Red Hat Linux from IBM for rendering work on the final
episode of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Each of the 588 server blades includes two Intel Xeon 2.8GHz processors and 6GB of Ram. The installation
makes Weta the largest Intel processor site in the world.
