The IDT RC32438 processor is ideal for communications applications within the enterprise and access markets including desktop/workgroup switches, gateways, wireless access points (WAPs) and virtual private network (VPN) equipment.

 
The availability of MontaVista Linux Professional Edition enables designers utilizing the IDT RC32438 Interprise(TM) processor to customize the platform for their targeted applications by developing on MontaVista Linux which includes rich networking and hundreds of deployable utilities, libraries, drivers and other run-time components. This latest offering builds on the success of an earlier optimization of MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 2.1 to support the IDT 79S33x boards containing the IDT RC3233x Interprise(TM) processors.
