Impressions from the LinuxWorld Expo

An anonymous reader tells us: Linux Orbit’s own Joshua Marshall got to vist the LinuxWorld Expo show … “This year’s expo was a much smaller affair, with fewer exhibitors, no freebies (at least during my visit) and rather stolid exhibitor presentations. The hard economy has taken its toll, and only companies that can turn a buck were present. This expo was about serious business Linux solutions. Now, that can be exciting and educational, if you come from a mid to large business environment with money to spend. As a small business consultant I was left to browse the exhibition kiosks. I only had a few hours, so I can’t give a fair report of the expo as a whole, but on the exhibition floor, it was a yawner.”
