Intel to bring in more powerful “Foster” Xeon chip

ZDNet reports that Intel is preparing to release new “Foster” chips, coming in 1.4, 1.5, and 1.7GHz speeds. The chip is made with the 0.18 micron manufacturing process used for the Pentium 4 and is based on NetBurst.
