Intel demos dual-core chip at IDF

Anonymous Reader writes “Intel kicked off its Intel Developer Forum (IDF) this week with a keynote speech from Paul Otellini, President, Intel Corp.

Otellini said, PC industry is about to go through a major change in the way client computers are designed, built, and marketed at the beginning of his keynote speech. Intel believes that the megahertz strategy to promote microprocessors is now dead. Due to this, Intel has been working for the past two years to make their microprocessors more efficient with new technologies such as Hyper-Threading (HT).
