Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Driver for Linux

Werner Heuser writes “Intel has started the IPW2200 project to enable Linux support for
the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection miniPCI adapter.
This is the successor of the PRO/Wireless 2100 miniPCI adapter used
in the first Centrino generation. It offers WLAN connectivity
according to 802.11g/802.11i standards. If you have a laptop with
this hardware and are interested in this project, go ahead and
download the latest snapshot and give it a spin. Though this
initial driver will only load, unload and report your hardware’s
PID/VID via the proc or sysfs file systems. See TxuMobil for current news about Linux on Centrino laptops and notebooks.”
