But, according to Yale Law professor Yochai Benkler, the economy may be changing again as the Internet and computers spur on a new method of production called “commons-based peer production.” Peer production is based on the idea that the economic role of social behavior is increasing. A combination of low-cost personal computers and the Internet enables this new type of aggregation of behavior to occur.
