Anonymous Reader writes “Some of Australia’s brightest open source aficionados have converged on Sydney this week for this year’s Australian UNIX and Open Systems User Group conference, AUUG 2003.
Among the many speakers at the conference will be Andrew Tridgell, inventor of the widely popular open source network file system Samba. Currently working as a researcher for IBM, Andrew has made many contributions to the open source community, and can claim to have been present on the fateful day that Linus Torvalds met an angry little penguin.”
