Interview with Sun’s Danese Cooper on OpenSolaris

Anonymous Reader writes “In this column Danese Cooper (former Sun Microsystems executive) discusses how Sun gradually moved into Open Source, created the SISSL license, and eventually opened Solaris 10. She also talks about Linus Torvalds in depth over career choices and his comment that there was no need to pick fights with Sun “because we could end up on the same side some day”. This has to be one of the most interesting interviews I’ve read.”
