The Linux Foundation today is announcing the recipients of its first-ever Linux Training Scholarship Program. While the economy remains sluggish, Linux development and IT jobs are on the rise. Just check out our Linux.com Jobsboard to see some of the amazing opportunties available to skilled Linux developers.

That is why The Linux Foundation offers a unique Linux Training program where both inexperienced and experienced Linux professionals can gain new and additional knowledge about working on Linux. Our Linux Training Scholarship Program aims to invest in today’s most promising new talent who would not otherwise be able to afford courses.

We received nearly 200 scholarship submissions and are very excited to introduce you to the 2011 winners, who we think illustrate a pretty bright future for the Linux platform. Meet them here, in a special slideshow presentation.
