Pingtel announced availability of an IP PBX (private branch exchange) infrastructure software suite which uses open standards and runs on standard
Linux-based systems. The product, called SIPxchange IP PBX, is said to take advantage of industry standards and an open architecture — including SIP,
Java, XML and VoiceXML, and Linux — to provide “more affordable, manageable, productive, and secure voice communications than any other IP PBX or
digital PBX.”
