Java-based iTunes coming to Linux

Kelly McNeill writes “As Apple’s iTunes grows to be the defacto standard for legal digital music distribution, a growing number of alternative operating system users have expressed concern that their preferred platforms are being excluded as iTunes currently only runs on Apple’s Mac OS X and Microsoft’s Windows operating systems. Kelly McNeill submitted the following editorial to osOpinion/osViews which shows that Apple’s music software is being ported to Java, albeit for Motorola’s Linux-based cell-phones.”
