Judge allows ACEMLA to copright stolen Music
Kelly McNeill writes "Rafael Venegas, son of the famous classical music composer Guillermo Venegas, tipped osOpinion/osViews off to a recent ruling by the US legal system, regarding a case in which Mr. Venegas alleged that music publisher ACEMLA knowingly stole hundreds of songs from the famed classical composer and then registered them under the company's name with the US Copyright office. The judge allegedly ruled in favor of the defendant. It would seem that the US copyright office (or the US legal system) needs revamping."
