Learning Curve for Upgrading to Office 2007

Solveig Haugland writes “Upgrading to Microsoft Office in the past has been a challenge to the budget but not to the brain. However, with the new drastically redesigned interface, the benefit that “It’s expensive, but at least I know how to use it” is gone. Many users might find it easier to switch to OpenOffice.org rather than upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007. OpenOffice.org is more similar to the current Microsoft Office look and feel than the Office 2007 interface. For even the most ardent Microsoft Office users, switching to OpenOffice.org might be cheaper, and easier, than upgrading to Office 2007.”
