Lessig’s O’Reilly OSCON keynote text now available

“Create like it’s 1790,” urged Stanford professor Lawrence Lessig at
last month’s O’Reilly Open Source Convention in San Diego, CA. Lessig
used the history of fairy tales and the folksinger-style refrain of
“Ours is less and less a free society” to warn against the danger of
encroaching copyright laws and “regulation of creativity.” It’s hard to
beat Lessig for eloquent calls to action. View the full text of
