Linux advocates: Turn the other cheek!

“As much as I love Linux though, I am often appalled at the behavior of some of its advocates. Linux, like other operating systems such as OS/2, Mac OS, and even Windows, has its share of advocates. Advocates use, believe in, and genuinely love (in a geek way) the Linux operating system. They tout it to anyone who will listen and vigorously defend it against all attacks. And therein lays the problem–sometimes OS advocates get way too aggressive and don’t know who their real enemies are. Linux folk are particularly susceptible to this trap.”
