Computerwire: “The industry’s first specification for a generic Linux build is facing an immediate challenge just days after a consortium
of open source-friendly vendors finally published the delayed Linux Standard Base (LSB), designed for application
portability. However, at least one leading Linux distribution – Red Hat – does not conform to LSB 1.0. Furthermore, it is unclear
whether Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based Red Hat Inc will – or should – conform to LSB as its Linux
distribution effectively becomes a de-facto standard through its growing customer base.”
