Philipp Esselbach writes “The compatibility list backend engine of Linux Compatible has been updated today. The most significant change in this update is the beginning of a transformation to a free (as in freedom) compatibility list. All new submissions are automatically licensed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License.

Both Linux and NT Compatible have currently over 12000 user submitted compatibility results for software/hardware running under Linux and Windows.
