ConsultingTimes.com has an interview with Michael A. Bego, president of Xandros, the company that is taking over Corel’s Linux distribution. He says, “The genesis of Xandros comes from Linux Global Partners [LGP]. We began looking at the Linux
market three years ago. We initially saw the problem as one of not enough applications. So we were
interested in investing in companies that would round out what would be used to fulfill the desktop. You can
have a great operating system, but if once you load it up there’s nothing to do, it’s not that great for the
normal user. So Xandros was created to fulfill the promise to offer a complete solution.”
