that, even with a recent cash infusion, is a sliver their size.
Open-source application server maker JBoss Inc. recently said it
secured $10 million in venture capital funding from Matrix Partners
and Accel Partners.
The software offered by JBoss doesn’t have all the features of IBM’s
WebSphere or BEA’s Web-Logic. But some observers say it could create
big headaches for the two big companies because it offers corporate
customers a “free” alternative.
