Linux moving to the front

At a time of cost-cutting within the tech sector, resulting from the industry's meltdown, Linux is poised to move to the front of the shop.
Linux isn't alone. Numerous companies are taking a leap of faith onto the open-source bandwagon.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Intel last week opened a global solution centre in Shanghai focusing on Linux' application development, in anticipation of the growing popularity of the free software in the Asia-Pacific region.
