Prior to joining Linux Networx, Gallo held various executive positions at Silicon Graphics Inc.s (SGI) European organization. Among other assignments, he managed SGIs European server and supercomputing business and directed SGIs marketing and business development organizations. Prior to SGI, Gallo spent 12 years at IBM in sales and marketing management positions. Most recently, Gallo was in charge of the EMEA business for BigBangwidth Inc., a provider of high-speed optical LAN solutions.
Norton has more than 20 years of experience in HPC and has held a variety of marketing management positions. Most recently, Norton served as the HPTC technical sales manager for Quadrics Supercomputers Ltd, a supercomputer interconnect vendor. Prior to Quadrics, he was the director of HPC at Mission Critical Linux where he won new business at several significant government sites.
Fabio Gallo and David Norton are highly respected in the HPC community for their knowledge and expertise in this industry, said Dean Hutchings, COO of Linux Networx. Their responsibilities will play a vital role in Linux Networxs long-term international and government strategies and signify the importance of these markets to Linux Networx.
Linux Networx has maintained a strong presence in Europe with a Solutions Center facility at Linux Networx Germany to test and benchmark different cluster configurations for European customers.
