Legal Issues for Open Source Projects

presented by: Lawrence Rosen, General Counsel of the Open Source Initiative.

Lawrence Rosen is General Counsel to, and Executive Director of, the
Open Source Initiative (OSI), an organization that reviews and approves
licenses for open source software (like the Linux operating system,
Perl programming language, and Apache webserver.)

Mr. Rosen’s articles on legal issues relating to Open Source software
appear monthly in Linux Journal magazine.

He will be visiting the Linux Users’ Group of Davis on November 5th
to discuss the various legal issues that can affect Open Source software
development.
