Magical apt-clone system recovery
Author: JT Smith
How many times did you perform a kernel upgrade that resulted in a non bootable system! Or perhaps you changed all sorts of configuration files, and now your system is badly broken. Don't you wish you could hit a button and revert back to your working state, without having to resort to backups. Well the folks at nexenta have created a tool "apt-clone" just for that! "Apt-clone" creates a system snapshot (well technically a clone) that preserves a working bootable environment. In case of failure, you can simply reboot your system into a working state. It's as simple as that. Read step by step instructions on crashing your system and recovering it back using apt-clone.
