Anonymous Reader writes "Managing Linux is a top priority for companies that are looking to open source software in the enterprise and is a key consideration for IT execs contemplating a switch. Specialty plastics manufacturing company, the Kerr Group, is replacing aging Windows machines with Xandros Linux desktops across 14 plants and warehouses in the US. Kerr, known globally for its pioneering technology in the development and manufacture of child-resistant packaging systems, participated in a beta program with Xandros that gave Kerr's network administrator Troy Backus early access to the Linux maker's new management tool, Xandros Desktop Management Server (xDMS)."
