Massachusetts Clears Quinn

Andy Updegrove writes “Two weeks ago the Boston Globe reported that it had instigated a State inquiry into Massachusetts State CIO Peter Quinn’s travel documentation. Quinn, you will recall, is the proponent of the much-contested policy to convert the MA Executive Agencies to OpenDocument. Today, it reported that Quinn had been cleared by someone the Globe could have talked to itself. The remaining question is, did someone put the Globe onto the “story,” and if so, who? Here’s the context for what has been going on, as well as the text of my request to the Globe’s Ombudsman to disclose the name of the source, if any, and investigate the manner in which the story was investigated and reported.”
