Microsoft forces banks to break laws

Anonymous Reader writes: “Agreeing to the EULAs on the newer versions of Windows gives MS access to the system for its “automatic update feature.” This is contrary to federal regulations for the banking industry concerning customer data. If Microsoft does not change the EULA and stop collecting information, banks may have to ditch Windows and move to alternative operating systems. The Seattle Metropoliton Credit Union is contemplating a move to Novell or Linux, for this reason.”
