Ballmer: Nobody wants to modify the operating system. However, some customers want to be able to support themselves. So providing tools for self-support is important. We have the biggest community in the world—it’s bigger than the Linux community. But we haven’t nurtured it as much as the Linux world has nurtured its community. If you look at posts for Windows—Windows sites versus Linux sites—it’s dramatically different. We need to do better to support our community.
