Microsoft sued by At Home creditors over patent

OwlWhacker writes “Microsoft Corp., the world’s biggest software company was sued by creditors of the now defunct At Home Corp. over a patent for linking documents with Web sites or e-mail addresses.”

Quote: “At Home, which offered Web access over cable lines, filed for bankruptcy in September 2001 and ceased operations in February 2002. The company’s patents are owned by a trust representing unsecured creditors, which said in a lawsuit in San Francisco federal court today that Microsoft is using the patented technology in Office XP software.”
