Microsoft's barrier to entry: security signatures

Kelly McNeill writes "Operating system security might best be regarded as the new beige. Everybody's doing it... or at least trying. With new devastating viruses poking their heads around the corner every other month or so, it's no wonder security has become the primary topic of discussion around the water cooler lately.
