The Intel IXP420, IXP421 and IXP422 network processors are versatile one-chip integrated processors that meet the needs of high-performance yet cost-sensitive applications ranging from home gateways, small office/home office (SOHO) routers and wireless access points, and Integrated Access Devices (IADs), to industrial control and networked imaging applications. MontaVista Software currently provides support for the Intel® IXP425 network processor and will provide support for the new Intel IXP4XX network processors shortly after Intel has released them, to subscribers of MontaVista Linux, directly from MontaVista Software and its distribution channels worldwide.
