Anonymous Reader writes “The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) announced its plans to sue alleged movie swappers online sometime this month.
The MPAA is applying a similar strategy like RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) did in September of 2003. Thus far, RIAA has managed to file 6,200 lawsuits against song swappers and MPAA is expected to follow RIAA in hopes of slowing down online movie piracy.
According to the group, movie piracy is the largest hit to its revenue share since its 110 years of existence.
