MS “Study” Dissected

Glanz writes “MS yesterday released a funded report (PDF) prepared by Veritest that alleges to show the differences between setup and deployment time between Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 2.1 and Microsoft SBS 2003. Unsurprisingly, the results heavily favor the Microsoft solution, often by very wide margins. In fact, the margins claimed in the “study” are the first clue that the study itself is inherently flawed. Delving into the study, I will attempt to show you just how deeply flawed it actually is.”
