MythTV gets closer to "consumer-ready" status
OSS-Devotee writes "If I didn't know any better, I'd suspect that this is merely one chess piece in a much larger chain of events. Tribune licenses their content/data through the most prolific media computing platform in peoples homes (Tivo), and the second-most prolific (XP MCE boxes), and now they have signed a deal to ensure that their content can be marketed in conjunction with Linux Media PC's as well. It looks like just about everybody in the CE and computer genre is placing their bets on where the next "money-spot" will be in the digital domain... I agree with Tribune: I think it's the living room... you know, where the couch is... nobody ever gained weight lounging on their cell phone"
