EUROPEAN PREVIEW LAUNCH of NeoOffice 2.0

with Patrick Luby and Ed Peterlin, developers of the NeoOffice open source project

Friday, 8 September 2006, 15h00

at the

World Scout Bureau , Rue du Pré-Jérôme 5, 1205 Geneva , Switzerland.

NeoOffice 2.0 is an “Aquafied version” of OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X which provides the standard features of the office suite using native fonts, file picker and printer windows. Having no dependencies on X11, the software is very easy for users to install and is available in both PowerPC and MacIntel versions. Best of all – it’s free!

Event highlights include:

– Learn why NeoOffice 2.0 is the best ‘native’ office suite available for the Mac today and great for pupils and students.

– Hear why the World Organization of the Scout Movement is supporting the NeoOffice project as part of its policy on the use of open standards and open source software.

– Come and try this free “office” software for yourself!

There is no charge for the event but attendees are required to register in advance. Full details can be downloaded from
