New BSD, called ZoneBSD
ZoneBSD is a project which will attempt to modify FreeBSD so that it may run within a Solaris Zone. Zones are the Solaris virtualization mechanism which currently allow multiple concurrent instances of Solaris to be run on top of a single parent OS instance. Our goal will be to allow virtual instances of FreeBSD to be run on top of Solaris using this mechanism. The approach will be to incorporate as much code from OpenSolaris as necessary to facilitate this end.
