New Linux OS for handhelds

Anonymous Reader writes "LinuxDevices.com has a sneak preview of a new Linux-based operating system for ARM-based handhelds like the Sharp Zaurus and HP iPaq. It's based on Lycoris, a Linux distribution designed for desktop users, along with OpenZaurus and Opie. The OS is dubbed Desktop/LX "Pocket PC" Edition -- funny, you would have thought that Microsoft had that trademarked. Strangely enough, Lycoris used to be called "Redmond Linux," and the founder is ex-Microsoft."
