Kristian Raue writes “Jedox, a german-based supplier of Excel-to-Web solutions, just released the first preview of its new Open-Source based MOLAP-Server, named Palo. The new server is a memory-based OLAP Server, specially designed for high-speed queries in Business Intelligence applications and it does support write-back of data directly in the cube. This makes it specially suitable for corporate planning purposes. Palo will be available for Linux and Windows (both 32- and 64-Bit). Palo comes with an easy-to-use Plug-in for Microsoft Excel. More information and a link to the download site can be found under www.jedox.com.”
