The new server is a memory-based OLAP Server, specially designed for high-speed queries in Business Intelligence applications and it does support write-back of data directly in the cube. This makes it specially suitable for corporate planning purposes. Palo will be available for Linux and Windows (both 32- and 64-Bit). Palo comes with an easy-to-use Plug-in for Microsoft Excel.
