New York suit against Microsoft can continue

Software giant dealt a setback in a state suit alleging consumers were ripped off. Six similar lawsuits also are in play.

The state Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the lawsuit could continue, overruling part of a lower court’s decision that had sided with Microsoft.
