Next-Generation Stack Computing

Daniel Boulanger writes "Let's face it: the fundamentals of register-based CPU architecture haven't changed that drastically in the past decade. And even the big hardware producers are beginning to notice the alternatives--not the least feasible of which is the lean, mean Stack Machine.

Researcher Eric Laforest recently gave a talk to the University of Waterloo CS Club outlining the basics of these cheap, powerful, and reliable bad-boys of the processing world. A recording of his talk, as well as copies of his slides, are available on the UW CS Club's media page."
