Kelly McNeill writes “Gaming system maker Nintendo said Thursday it will postpone shipping its Nintendo GameCube system in the U.S. until the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. The two-week delay will allow Nintendo to deliver 700,000 systems to toy and game stores in North America — nearly a quarter more than were expected for the original November 5th launch. Peter Main, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America Inc., said in a statement that the delay would allow the company to ensure uninterrupted restocking through the holiday season.”
