Nintendo: Stores want more GameCubes

Microsoft’s Xbox may be dead before it even hits store shelves. With a debut rescheduled to November 15 and less than promising availability numbers at that time, stores desperate for a holiday blockbuster product have turned to a video gaming veteran for help. Wal-Mart and other U.S. retail chains have asked Nintendo to increase shipments of its forthcoming GameCube console to offset the delay and restricted inventory of the new Microsoft hardware.
