Novell’s creation of Bandit, an open source project, has been met with plaudits from a multitude of vendors whose interests one might assume to be quite divergent. This only goes to show how key an issue identity and access management has become, and how it crosses the boundaries of operating systems and platform types, and the technology silos of security solutions and enterprise applications.
