Official: Windows is more secure than Linux
PDAJames writes "Are you laughing yet? Surprisingly, that conclusion is based on figures vetted by Linux distributors including Red Hat, Suse, MandrakeSoft and Debian as well. Forrester analysed all the security vulnerabilities for Windows and different Linux versions for a year and concluded that Microsoft, on average, patches faster. Needless to say, Red Hat takes issue with these conclusions. Curiously enough, this so called 'days of risk' research, or something much like it, was originally hawked last year by Steve Ballmer."
