More news from last week’s SCALE 5x event in Los Angeles! There were three network moitoring systems represented at the event. Zenoss, OpenNMS, and GroundWork all had booths at SCALE. These are definitely 3 of the heavy hitters in Open Source network monitoring. Zenoss and OpenNMS are pure Open Source applications, while GroundWork uses a hybrid model where the basic application is Open Source, but to get the extra nice icing-on-the-cake features you pay for an annual subscription.
