Anonymous Reader writes “Considering that Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer hold the vast majority of their respective markets, and that software diversity is a crucial factor to improve internet security, a Brazilian programmer released GetFree, a script to automatically download and install several open source programs on any Windows computer.

The selected programs are OpenOffice.org 1.1, Mozilla Firebird and Thunderbird, and Gaim.

Developers are invited to download, modify and redistribute the source code. The current version is 0.0.8.”
