openMosix Summit 2004 Announced

Brussels (January 5, 2004) – The openMosix Summit for 2004 will take place within the FOSDEM conference. FOSDEM, the Free and Open source Software Developers’ European Meeting is an event organized by volunteers to promote the widespread use of Free and Open Source software.Moshe Bar will present the openMosix Summit Keynote: openMosix State of the Art. Matthias Rechenburg (openMosixview) will speak on Monitoring and Administering openMosix Clusters. Other openMosix Community developers and users are encouraged to speak. Contact: openmosix@ipng.be

The openMosix Community is the reason for the preeminent position of openMosix among clustering projects. This Summit is an event where the Community members can meet and be recognized. Key developers and users will discuss the openMosix project’s future directions, decide on important new features, and update the development roadmap.

openMosix is a Linux kernel extension for single-system image (SSI) clustering that allows building a cluster from ordinary networked computers. Applications benefit without modification specifically for openMosix.
